The Mashomack Preserve was bought by the Nature Conservancy to preserve an important habitat on Shelter Island, between the eastern forks of Long Island. The woodblock is a branching image taken at the Preserve and rearranged into four pieces. For this series, I playfully “editioned” each panel on a variety of washi papers using monoprint, paper lithography, pastel rubbings, silk aquatint, and woodgrain printing and then selected the panels to be mounted together for each work in the series.
