The process of creating these pieces begins with "painting" on top of a freshly pulled sheet of abaca paper with pigmented linen paper pulp. Each sheet of paper is unique and evokes the atmospheric relationship between sky and water. After the sheets of handmade paper have been pressed and dried, the landscape image is added. These images come from the James River near Williamsburg, Virginia.
